Son of Levie and Mary Jonas, of Higher Crabtree, Laira, Plymouth; husband of Elizabeth Jonas, of Wesley Place, Harberton, Devon.

As an RND casualty, SSJ has more information available......

Enlisted 25/10/15 age 28 ; Embarked RM Brigade 28/6/16 ; Draft for BEF 25/9/16, joined 4th Entrenching Bn. 8/11/16, joined 2nd RM Bn. 25/11/16-8/2/17 DD.

Wife, Caroline, Little Bittaford, Ugborough, Nr. Ivy Bridge, Devon.

The term "DD" means "Discharged Dead"

Hi, my sons great grandfather is Stephen Samuel jonas of Ugborough,we have a photo of him, also letters and certificates stating where he is buried in France
