Hi Ken, Any advice on finding out if any burials at St.Curig Church, Porthkerry after 1902?
My booklet only goes up to 1902.
Wondering if Margaret Thomas (wife of Lewis Thomas) was either buried with 1st husband Thomas David buried 1867 or daughter Jane 1868 (1yr old and surname put as Davies) My Grandfather William Davies also buried Porthkerry 1893 (surname went over to Davies).
Would it be worth writing to Church? No  headstones -  if there were any, now standing as I searched Graveyard a few years ago.
The two burials of Lewis Thomas leaves me to think the Father - 1919 (by age) but where was he on 1911 Census as I cannot find him and not with any children I could find. Cannot understand common grave.
Second burial ties in with son also named Lewis - 1931 (by age - living Beverley Street 1911 Census). Would be glad of any suggestions. Many thanks, Syljun
Sorry Selina if I have hi-jacked your post.

Hi, Syljun, there is a possible for Phoebe, but as for the others no luck, the Phoebe is:-
Phoebe Thomas, grave no. H1236 burial 2-3-1942. I only have the records for Barry cem. so cannot help with porthkerry, I believe the church only opens on a sunday now but not certain, but they still have burials there up to present day, how you contact the vicar I don't know, its a shame I did't have the info a few months ago as I have a caravan a hundred yards away from the church but due to illness am unable to get down there at the moment, All the best, Ken. p.s. I don't think its relevant but there is a Lewis Rees Thomas grave No. H514 bur. 8-8-1946 & A Phoebe Thomas bur. 13-1-1956 grave No. S279.
