Sorry I don't have any other information except that Maria Jones is the mother of Robert.  I think there may also be a Frank M Jones abt. 1865 in the family.

I seen same census as Pam but wondered it's strange he is not with his mother in 1871 census did have a Robert Jones aged 11yrs Grandson but the wrong birth place ..His brother Frank Mervyn Jones was born Cheshire 1865 maybe Mervyn Maria's maiden name

I am still trying to discover Maria's maiden name and have come up with quite a few options!! I now have her on the 1881 census with the children and a new husband Jabez Howard - so I keep searching.
