As Monica has mentioned - Jean/Jane/Jennie etc are interchangeable so when you have done a bit more delving - see if this is the right 1901 entry

The 1916 marriage was Robert Madden and Jean Pepper

Whow!
 I think we are onto something here. After further checking Joe went Rutherglen after WWII to see his Grandmother not his mother as I stated previously. We also believe Joe went to see his sister Elizabeth (Lizzy)at the same time after WWII who was in a sanatorium. Have you any Idea where I may start looking for her Thanks.

You need to first establish his siblings full christian names by getting the certificates for those births I gave you details of

If he visited his sister after WW2 and she was born in 1920/21 - she may have been married by the mid-late 1940's so you would need to look on SP for a marriage - not available to download after 1937 so you have to buy the cert

You can then use SP to look for her death

H.Madden son of Henry Madden, 77 Greenhill Road, Rutherglen.
