The address is recorded as Thorney Green Road, and Columbine Hall is nearby.

On the 1841 tithe records James and Samuel Diaper are owners and occupiers of cottages on the south side of the road labelled Back Lane on the tithe map, and corresponding to the modern Gipping Road.

The positions of the Diaper dwellings correspond to the houses marked on this 1969 map as 'Ivy Cottage', 'Torcross' and 'Lynton'. I've had a look on street view and I believe that they are the original cottages.
