i was hoping someone could help me with this,i,ve just seen my grandads service record for the R.F.C. it has his rating as,rating A-MAC 3,private 2 and terms of enlistment DW does anyone know what they mean,.......his number was 145239

as the rfc came under the army during ww1 it looks like air mechanic 3   private 2 [as an army rank] and dw duration of war .
