Avg Free discontinued ??
« on: Friday 18 October 13 18:52 BST (UK) »
I have been getting messages asking me to purchase AVG Internet Security 2014. I have used AVG Free for many years, and have never had any trouble. Are AVG stopping their free service?
I have a laptop running XP3, and have upgraded each time I have been notified of th necessity.

No, AVG Free still exists: http://free.avg.com/gb-en/free-antivirus-download

However, AVG like to try out every single possible way of making people pay for their paid service. I've seen them describe a free trial as just "free" before to make people upgrade and then after 30 days they need to pay or the software stops working.
