Yes there is a baptism record in Epping in 1779, but its a baptism date, not a birth date, so David could have been a young child on baptism.
Also seeing as Sarah was noted as a minor at the time of marriage, if David had been under 21 he would have been noted as a minor as well and he wasn't.

That baptism record gives the birth date of 14 Dec 1798.
Ancestral Recipe: Three parts English, one part Irish and a dash of German. Let it stand for 170 years and you have a 6th generation Australian.
