Hi, I am looking for the marriage details for David Dorrington b 1779 in Epping.  He married Sarah ?. They had 7 children, the first born William Dorrington in 1796 so I am assuming the marriage may have occurred in 1795 ish.  All the children where christened in Epping.

That is most likely the correct information.  There are a couple of trees out there that have Sarah Brown as the wife.  I just don't like copying without some sort of source. Can I ask where you found the information? Are there any details on her parents/father and what would be her year of birth?

Sarah's father would have granted permission for his minor daughter to marry - baby no 1 was born not long after!!

I found the info in the parish register. Parental details at this time are not usually available and only after 1837 would it be the fathers name.

Thank you very much.  Does the entry have Sarah's age?  I know David Dorrington was only 16. He died before any census records and Sarah not long after.

I gave all the info there was.

Was David the one who died in 1828, if so his birth year is c1771, which would have made him 24yrs old at the time of marriage.

no I think the David Dorrington who died in 1828 was his father.  I haven't got back to that generation properly yet.  The David Dorrington who married Sarah Brown has parents named David and Mary.  There is a tree that states the Mary was Mary Rainbird but I haven't researched that yet.  If there is a marriage in the parish records with that information I would be very happy to know that as well!!
