Clifford Irwin

Looking for information about Clifford Irwin, was born in County Cavan in Ireland in 1911(I think)

Not sure when he moved to Canada, but I know he served in the Canadian air force in WW2 and was captured as a prisoner of war.

He was son of William Irwin (1886-1969) and Ann Quinley (1890-?)

Any info much appreciated

Clifford T. Irwin, Flight Lieutenant, Royal Canadian Air Force, WW2
Calgary, Alberta, May 2, 1992

Calgary Herald has an index of deaths for 1990-1994 and lists
Thomas Robert Clifford Irwin, age 81, death 1992
also listed wife Anne, d. 1989

The age is right so you may want to follow up and try to get an obituary to determine if this is your Clifford.  The Calgary Library may be able to help or contact the Calgary Herald and they may look at their archives.

son of Wilford and Anne Irwin, husband of Edith Patricia Irwin, Forst William, Ontario

The names of his parents are close to what you posted.

This is a different person. The Winnipeg Free Press from 24 Jul 1943 has an article about Thomas Robert Clifford Irwin being a prisoner of war and with the RCAF but it also says he was born in Springwater, Saskatchewan.
