Disk help

Could any one help me, when i put a disk in nothing comes up, its the 1881 census of Wales Monmouthshire. Thanks very much,  gladys1 :)

Those CDs are quite old now if it is the set I am thinking of and I seem to remember that they won't work with newer versions of Windows.  Have you used it recently?
The 1881 is free to search at various online sites.  Google it and choose one if the disk is still being awkward.

Hello Bill,  i have had these discs for a few years and just started to use them so i will google the 1881 census as sillgen said so hears hoping.  Regards Gladys.

If your computer is running the 64 bit version of either Windows 7 or Windows 8 the census discs will not work - this is down to the viewer program being unsuitable for those versions and no update is available or planned.

Either running an older computer or running a virtual computer set up with an older version of windows are the two main options available
