There's a possible death George E Cole in 1929 age 36 Barnet district Middlesex.

Freebmd has marriages in various parts of London/Middlesex between 1912 - 1929 for a George E Cole.  Not all are online but those that are do not show a father Edward so it's not possible to determine whether he did marry before he died
