Microsoft gone mad with the updates!
« on: Wednesday 09 October 13 13:21 BST (UK) »
Bearing in mind I have 6 various computers here, Microsoft has so far released 21 updates for Win 7, and 13 for XP. (inc office security updates)
So if you see that gold shield down on the task bar, you know your computer is going to be slow until all updates have been installed ;)

Have done the 21 on Windows 7, looking forward (I don't think) to XP later!  Sometimes wonder if putting a shilling in the meter would help!

I was surprised to see 21 updates, + 3 optional, but Microsoft knows what it can do with the Bing desktop update ;D

I'd better fire up the netbook, which has XP, & let it get on with it before I need to use it.

Waiting for them to download & install I can cope with, it's the need to reboot & the nagging if I don't do it that annoys me >:(

My computer is slow today; I had remembered the date (2nd Wednesday) and expected the privilege of a date with Microsoft.

I've got Windows 8 and I don't normally have the same problem with updates, however, today I had 26 updates plus 3 optional.  Apart from the optional they were all security updates, so I don't know if they've suddenly had a problem.  Like Betty, I ignored the Bing update.  ;D

My computer (XP) normally does any updates during the day,last night just before bed it decided to do 18 of them. It took ages to upload them and it kept telling me not to switch off it would do that for me.

I ended up coming back down to check that it had switched off 30 mins after going to bed.

Stooopid thing  ::)
