Hi Sandra

Super information !!

I had a look at David Gerald Sheldon's obit, but it doesn't mention brothers/sisters in law/nieces or nephews.  Unfortunately, it is quite short and doesn't say where he is buried.

Perhaps obits for the other brothers might mention some of the Sheldon/McDougall clan??

Hi RK

Thanks for all your help. Ref Bitz family I have noted the 6 Bitz entries in Directory for the area and also intend to contact Ottowa Library for further help.  As you know I am a complete beginner, this being  my first query, and would like to know the correct protocol of making contact with possible "relatives"?  Do you think it would be OK to telephone or write to them?

On another matter, I wonder if you could advise me on how to trace further 'cousins', of the same origins - g.g.g.grandparents John Hutchison and Jane (Cameron) Hutchison of Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.
Their Grandson James Calder(b.1861) who was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland, emigrated to USA around the end of 19C and set up business in a china shop on Staten Island, New York.  His direct descendants are unknown although I know that he sponsored his great niece Helen Wilson Lauder(b.1893 Quincy Massachusetts) and her husband James Lauder(b.Glasgow) who emigrated to New York in early 1920's, so he was still alive at that time.
Should I initiate a new query on the USA section?

Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Joyce
