Gorman - Post Master in Ballymote?

My relative tells me her grandfather was the postmaster at Ballymote. This would have been in the early 1900s but she doesn't remember any other details.

I checked the occupation records on Ancestry and found Francis William Gorman was appointed SC+T (which I believe stands for Sorting Clerks and Telegraphists) in 1898 but couldn't find any further record.

Can anyone confirm whether he went on to become post master?

In fact, any other information about the Gormans in Ballymote would be very welcome!

Unfortunately 1911 is the latest available census. A few ideas for finding more mentions of Francis' occupation-
- local directories (recent ones proabbyl not be online but local library or archives might have a good collection)
- his marriage and death certificates as well as children's birth certificates shoul list his occupation
- newspaper obituary (if there is one) might mention his career

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I'd assumed Francis was older (as I was looking for a postmaster, not a junior clerk) so I wasn't finding him in my searches. But it looks like it was Francis' father who was postmaster not Francis himself. But I'll follow up and try to find out if Francis followed in his father's footsteps.
