The archive on Burns street is now closed and all research is now done in the Ewart library. I was there on Friday and have written a user guide:

are now operating their Winter Opening Hours
Tuesday, Friday & Saturday 10.00 am - 1.00 pm
Wednesday & Thursday 12.30 - 3.300
Closed Sunday & Monday

Opening Hours for Winter 2015-2016
are as follows:
Tuesday, Wednesday &Thursday 1.00 to 3.30 pm
Friday & Saturday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
