Thanks to the Family Search organisation, the files you wish to see are available on line. I have now copied the instructions ChCh Archives gave me to view the files - and I have checked - and they work.
But if you have any problems then please ask for help

Just to add to the instructions - once you get to the page with IMAGE |1| of "lots", put your image number in the box.
These are the Instructions from Christchurch ArchivesThe probate file you have requested has been digitised and is currently available online through the Family Search website. The files will be searchable by name in the near future, but for now, please follow these steps to view the file:

2. Go to the Family Search website at
https://www.familysearch.org/3. Click on Search
4. Browse by Location and select Australia & New Zealand
5. Under Place, Select New Zealand, Pick Probates
6. Select "Browse through
images", then select "Greymouth District Supreme Court". The file you are looking for is in folder "probates 1887 rec 114/87-125/87', the images for your file are 73-85.
Go back to get the other file - Select "Browse through
images", then select "Hokitika District Supreme Court". The file you are looking for is in folder "probates 1887-1890 rec 308/86-389/90", the images for your file are 253-264.
7. Once you have found your probate, you can save it to disc or print it by using the buttons in the top right corner of the screen and following the instructions
There are a number of digitisation projects currently in progress around the country, and there are probates from Blenheim, Hawkes Bay, Marlborough, Napier and Nelson also available, as well as ship passenger lists from 1855 to 1973.
Images are being added regularly, so it may be worth looking through to see if anything is of interest to you.
I hope that this will assist you with your research.
