Any idea when photo was taken and age of girl please

Hi, Trying to work out who the girl is in photo, i had it scanned out of a deceased family member's album, if anybody has any idea when it was taken and her age i possibly could narrow down who it is hopefully.

My guess would be about 18 years old...nice photo.

My guess ( and it is only a guess) would put her a little younger, maybe 16 or even 15.  Hard to tell though.

I'd go along with Carol's estimate of about 18, since she seems to have developed adult features and the soft, childish look has gone.

What age did girls 'put their hair up' ?

My guesstimates for age & era are 15/16 yrs old 1930/40's on the basis of her hair style of 2 ringlets (don't look like plaits) which would possibly not be an adults style?

Was the photo a postcard pic? 
It is obviously an arranged photo session not a random pic & may be around war time especially if it's a postcard image?

If there is writing on the back would be a good idea to post a copy of handwriting for someone to identify year of writing technique?
