I'm a bit late with a reply to this thread but this site has loads of photos of Nottingham Streets. www.picturethepast.org.uk
I've also found photographs in the Nottingham Evening post on this site http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/

I agree about http://www.picturethepast.org.uk/ -- it contains a photographic collection for the East Midlands, with a huge number of those being from Nottingham through the ages. Excellent resource!

Also, I'd like to add http://info.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/insightmapping/?l=0.21&xmin=453111&xmax=456921&ymin=339403&ymax=341461 -- this is the Council's own GIS system. It provides access to the current Nottingham maps together with a range of historical maps. It's also possible to overlay them to see what lies at a given location now (see the second drop-down on the toolbar in the top-left of the map). Another excellent resource!
