Marriage of James Williams & Sarah Williamson
« on: Saturday 14 September 13 22:30 BST (UK) »
 Hello Everyone!!
I was wondering if someone who is going to the Liverpool Record Office in the near future could possibly look up a marriage for me please. The marriage is registered on the BMD index and the certificate was ordered from the GRO 3 weeks ago.The strange thing that happened was that the GRO refunded the money as they said they could not find the marriage even tho all details including Vol and Page number were given???

The marriage is also registered on Lancashire BMD and in the Parish Records on Family Search Org.As I live in Australia I am unable to attend the LRO and hoping some one could help me out.

Here are the details of the marriage from the sites with their reference nos...

So, why not order the certificate through Liverpool City Council?
Click on the Lancashire BMD reference number, and follow the links!

Alternatively, order through GRO, but don't give all the details! ;D
Just Year, Quarter, District, Volume, Page and the groom's name.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

According to the full GRO index - the page number is 58 - not 52

EDIT - freebmd also shows it as 58
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Thank you kindly for replies :) Sorry it was 58 my error :-[ Thank you Carole W for noticing the error.

The certificate was originally ordered with the correct Volume and Page numbers but they couldn't find it.

The reason I was asking if someone was going to the LRO in the near future was also to save sometime as in waiting as I have also ordered from the GRO Sarah Williamson's birth certificate and they couldn't find that either??

I will order the cert from the Liverpool City Council as you mentioned and thank you KGarrad but still hoping someone may kindly look in the meantime to save waiting a whole 3-4 weeks again for the results. Again thank you in advance :)

Hi again!! Could I please plead with someone if they are going to the record office to please look up these details I posted earlier as I am doing it on behalf of someone else and I am really trying to help them out in this matter.

The people concerned whom I am helping have had really bad luck in tracing details of the William/Williamson families and have had trouble getting the correct certificates for them.

Again thank you in advance :)
