Help with Etherington please

I'm trying to gather some info about George Etherington (abt 1774) and family. I know he had a daughter Ann who married John Darling in 1822 (I think) and they went on to have a son George born 1823 (I think) now I thought that George had married a Mary Smith, but on looking at census forms I see that George Etherington is on the 1851 with George and Mary but down as 'Father-in-law' I know this could be a mistake, he is the Father of George Darlings Mother, so it should read 'Grandfather' I guess, I have a marriage for George Etherington, to Hannah Stubbings in 1800 but can find no other children or anything else, also the John Darling I have as being born in 1801 but can find no birth or death for him either, I wonder if anyone could help me out a bit?

This is the George Etherington living with the Darlings in Hutton Bushel in 1851, retired grocer? I haven't yet managed to track down any marriages - I've drawn a blank on Seamer or Hutton Bushel, covering the Aytons, and Leathley, where the Darlings were born.

But if George was born in Hive, he would probably have been baptised at Eastrington.  Apologies if you've already seen this, but there are Etheringtons in Eastrington throughout the 18th century and a George, son of George, was baptised there on 20 Nov. 1772.
