HI Pels,

re checked my paperwork, and the final one that you looked at - died in 1931 in Knaresborough, I'm pretty sure is my John.

Are you able to locate where he and FRANCES MORRELL are buried ?.

I would suggest you purchase the certificate to make sure it's the right one, it would
also give us an idea where John was living at the time.

I have just e mailed a friend local to Harrogate/Knaresborough to see if he can locate!
(No guarantee on anything being found, quite a few church yard records to sift through)

Footprints: Does the location Brearton ring any bells, supposed to be over near Harrogate/Knaresborough?
My contact reports found something on Anc, will give me more info when he has the time.

Until Footprints returns, John and Frances were both living in Brearton in 1891/1901 and on the last census. I wondered whether Frances moved to Daisy Cottage after his death (when we still thought John died in 1912).

Morrell, Frances of Daisy Cottage, Bachelor Gardens, Bilton, Harrogate widow died
7th December 1937. Probate London 25th January to Samuel Pickup Crowther engineer
and Percy Heworth Gill dairyman.
Effects £422 7s 11d

Hi Brian,

The area called Brearton, does ring a bell...have other family members in and around that area. So this one might be winner.

Cheers

Hi all,

Just a thought.

Might be easier to find where FRANCES MORRELL (wife) is buried.  John may be buried in same grave. She died in 1937 in Knaresborough aged 80 years.

Cheers
