 Hi
     I am looking for any help with regards finding any information on my uncle or any of his family
he was born in Edinburgh Scotland in 1897 his name is Thomas James  Philip he was married in
Edinburgh in 1918 to Catherine Mc intyre they had two of a family Thomas born 1921 and Marion born 1919 I would be grateful for any help with this. Thank you

Hello...

Just guesswork but it's possible that your Thomas and his wife Catherine are buried at Karoro Cemetery in Greymouth.

Unfortunately records for Karoro Cemetery aren't online so the cemetery fiche will need to be checked. I can do this tomorrow or Sunday unless someone else can do it sooner.

For the record - microfiche P03.12 Karoro Greymouth.

These are the listings I'm guessing are your couple.

From the BDM NZ website...

1960/25386 - PHILIP, Thomas James - 62Y (so born c.1898)

1965/41685 - PHILIP, Catherine - 67Y (so born c.1898)

Does that tally with Catherine's age.

          Thanks for your help Thomas James was born 31/07/1897 Catherine born 22/08/1897.
I reckon that there is a good chance that this couple could be the Thomas and Catherine i am
looking for. I guess1898 for both could just be a little mix up on somebodys part at least i hope so.
They had two children Thomas born 1921 Marion born 1919 both born in Edinburgh as were there
parents. I have been trying to find this uncle for some time as he is the only person from that
generation i have been unable to find. I thank you very much for any information you can give
me. If i can be any help to you at this end of the world I would be happy to do so.
