Can anyone recommend any books or other sources of information on genetic genealogy?  I am not a complete beginner but guidance through topics like chromosome matching and triangulation would be welcomed.

My dad had testing done in the US and we tested almost perfect with a Thomas Bouldin that came over on the Swan to Virginia. But nothing else links us to this well documented Thomas. Would it be useful to use this info in Rootschat to possibly find a link and another possible source of my family line in England?

You can try but the odds of finding someone linked to your Bouldens on here are very long. GenesReunited would be a much better bet:-
