I was thinking it wasn't him although everything else does seem to match up. If the one that Ladyhawk posted is my Great-Great Grandfather then he must have returned to England sometime after Cecilia and Ellen got married. And then remarried himself. It makes me wonder what happened to Sarah. And if that is his father it means he died a year before Charles moved Sarah and the kids to Canada. Now I am curious what the term "Devizes" means. And to why Charles' wife's name keeps changing. First it is Sarah then on one post I saw elsewhere on this site it is listed as Emma and now it appears to be Helen. This is getting rather intriguing to me. It's kinda like an archaeological dig to find out the truth.

Ahh okay. I was curious. So Charles and his family were from the town originally. That makes sense. I always assumed that Charles's family was always from Surrey and then moved to Hampshire before moving to Canada. Now it seems Charles was from Devizes and then moved to Hampshire and then Canada and then sometime after his children were married moved back to Surrey.
