I am a descendent of the Le Gros family which lived in Trinity for some 300 years or more. My branch of the family moved to St Helier somewhere in the mid-1800s and Jean Le Gros, surgeon married Ellen Chinnery Britton from Donegal, Ireland about 1860-1862. I have all the other family details as well as their children but not the actual marriage. It is also possible that they married in England, where he graduated as a Doctor or in Ireland but I have been unable to find any trace of their marriage so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
