To find his birth and parentage etc - you will have to buy a copy of the 1919 marriage cert to get his fathers details

freebmd has a birth reg in Bury St Edmunds in the December qtr 1882

Okey dokey. Have to get my laptop. Replaced first. Not same on a phone. Assumed cos rest hubbys family from essex bury st ed was in essex, ooops.

In 1901 Samuel is with parents George and Mary A and 2 additional siblings.

Frederick P aged 3 and Sophia 2mths

George is a bricklayers labourer

In 1902 - his sister Eliza married George Bull and in 1911 his sister Edith married Henry Collins

(And if his father isn't George - I'm going to kick myself for doing all this without waiting for the marriage cert details) ::)
