Hi Gerry
As already suggested a copy of the marriage cert is the safest way forward - cheapest source is direct from the GRO -
www.gro.gov.uk You say you have 2 Charles Jolly's born c1833 in Redgrave? I have found these 2 on familysearch
Charles Jolly Bpt 25 May 1832 Wortham. Parents James & Harriet
Charles Jolly Bpt 28 Sep 1831 Redgrave or Redgrave cum Botesdale depending on which entry you look at. Parents Edward Jolly (or Jolley) & Mary. The parish church would have been St Mary's in Redgrave - it was used by residents of both Redgrave and neighbouring Botesdale.
The parishes of Redgrave, Botesdale, Wortham & Burgate are very close to each other. There are Bean & Jolly burials in all of them & in several other neighbouring parishes (Suffolk Burial Index). Based on the two bpts above I have found the following marriages that do not help at all at this stage but once you know his fathers name they might help with the next step back:
James JOLLY married Harriet HOWLETT 23 Nov 1829, Wortham
Edward JOLLY married Mary WEST 13 Jun 1831, Wortham
(source Suffolk marriage Index)
Did Charles & Maria use any of the above names for their children that is always a good clue.
