Which family members have you found on the NSW 1913 Electoral Roll?

Also St Marys Cathedral Archivist http://www.sydneycatholic.org/about/archives.shtml  re the elusive blanks on the mc  :)

Cheers,  JM  :)

Do you have the following info …

NSW ER 1903 EAST SYDNEY, polling at Belmore (not, not the Sydney Suburb, but the polling place NEAR to Central Station)
Yes,
I found this one. Thanks
This is one of the last official mentions i found of John Snr.
The Mary Godfrey mentioned is Bridget Godfrey, I found several records of her using Mary and several using Bridget.

I haven't got the 1913 Electoral Roll entry's but 1908, put's Bridget and her daughter Catherine at Wemyss Street. But no John.

Yes, Judith is spot on .... you certainly have done a thorough job...

Some thoughts from me  :)

Have you found any reference to John (senior) in the 1929 Probate Packet for John, son of John and Bridget ?
NSW BDM #2241 of 1929 registered at Burwood
NSW SRO has John GODFREY with DD 5 March 1929, probate granted 18 Nov 1929
http://investigator.records.nsw.gov.au/Search.aspx
http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/16536665       SMH 7 March 1929  (Mrs Godfrey Sen mentioned, so it is likely she was already a widow)

Cheers,  JM

I had the same thought about the Probate Packet, but it only mentions his wife Annie.

There is "A" John F GODFREY buried in Anglican section at Woronora cemetery Sutherland.

Section MM position 0063. It gives date of death as 23/11/1915, but could be burial. Parents names are wrong on BDM for your fella, but they have been wrong before. Have you checked this one out?

He is not mentioned in son William's death notices in 1914. Not even 'son of the late John..', which is quite unusual.

Debra  :)

No, the last mention i found in Trove is in 1913, for Bridget's sister Ellen Coffey.
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article15407549
However it is a little weird as one entry lists Mr. & Mrs. J. Godfrey (their beloved sister) and the next entry is Mrs. Godfrey (her beloved sister).

Well,

Have you gone through with fine tooth comb  :)  (of course you have !) over and over the marriage certs for any daughters .... any aged 21 and under, needing consent to marry ....  and also checking if he was noted as "dec" or "deceased" or even if cert (could be a case of needing the cert rather than the official transcript) perhaps had following mark near his name :

His daughter Mary married Cornelius Buckley in 1890
Catherine married Percy Seares in 1910
and Margaret (I'm not 100% sure that i have the right person) married James Helman in 1926.

How does Catherine describe her father in 1910 on that mc?
