looking for family name lindholm.

Hi, i'm trying to find out some information on someone by the name of (*) lindholm, who may have come from the massachusettes area ? served in the second world war, i think in 136th quartermaster truck company, and was based in britain.

Can anyone help ?

Keep in mind that, if he is still living, his name should not be mentioned here.  Do you have any further information on him?  A birth date?  There are several people of that name on the 1940 census and on the SSDI but none in Massachusetts.

Sorry for posting his name, I did'nt think of that, full apologies.

Unfortunately i have very little to go on, other than his name and the other pieces of info i mentioned in my first note, it's a bit of a complicated situation, which is why i don't have much to go on. How would i get to see the census you mentioned ? maybe that would highlight something for me, all this is new to me, your help would be much appreciated.

Follow those links in the previous post to the 1940 census and SSDI results for that name.  There are many other US records at FamilySearch, which is free and the best place to start looking for someone in the United States.
