Hi Claire
It could be - 'the John Pullen' - it was stated that was living in Brighton (Borough St), where this info came from is unknown.  But he was a headmaster.

Claire;
I must say - its a little further more with the Pullen family history, with this information, which
I'm grateful for, as every little bit - puts the puzzle together.

Hi

Think this is John Pullen in 1841 census

Brighton, Brighthelmstone, Boro' Street

John Pullen 45 private tutor  not bn in county
Elizabeth "  40                      "     "  "     "
Hannah Derman 35               "     "  "     "

Class HO107 Piece 1122 Book 9.

Presuming Elizabeth Pullen is his wife there is a death 4th Qtr 1849 Brighton for her.
