Can anyone help with a German Divorce
« on: Tuesday 13 August 13 12:19 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace a divorce believed to have been registered in Hanover.
The original marriage was in 1973. The husband remarried in England in 1975 but I believe his divorce from his first wife was after this date.
If anyone has a contact I am happy to pay for the research.

Hi Danae,

I've removed the names as it's quite likely this couple could be living (and I presume you don't know if the first wife has passed away).  If anybody does respond who is able to help out, please pass the details to them via PM.

From here, http://www.toytowngermany.com/lofi/index.php/t227177.html it appears that you may be looking at finding the court where the divorce was handled.  Perhaps look for a genealogical society in Hanover - they may be able to recommend sources and a reliable person to do the groundwork.
