What regiment was he in? Can anyone look up his records please?

Hi,
 I was wondering if anyone can identify what regiment George was in please? (east yorkshire??) Also if anyone can find his military records would they be able email me them to me?, as I no longer have ancestry or genes if possible. That would be a big help.

Photo of little les with his brother George Samuel Tuttle 1895 cottingham - c1919? Who were my great grandma doris' brothers.

George Samuel Tuttle, 2 King Street, Cottingham.
Service No. 1845, 2nd Northumbrian Bde, RFA (T)
Attested 5.1.15 Discharged 9.7.15 (medically unfit)
His record shows he had problems with his lungs before he entered the Service and that may have resulted in his early death in 1919.

It's not a Royal Artillery Cap badge though?
He's a mounted soldier does record give any other regiments?

Records don't say much more than what JJen posted above.
History sheet shows 189 days in total, but obviously he had tuberculosis.

"Originated March 1914 at Cottingham. Seized with pain in left side of chest, with cough. Consulted doctor who told him he had lung trouble. In May 1914 was sent to Withernsea Sanatorium for  Phthisis. Left lung normal. Right lung percussion note impaired over whole right lung. Diminished breadth sounds over whole lung. Not result of military service, whether clearly aggravated, not stated. Permanent. Totally prevents at present"

Is there any chance it could be his brother...Henry Tuttle Green who was a Royal Engineer
And a driver the badge looks more like that than Royal Artillery
Both are in same household on the 11 census Henry also has a pension record on ancestry

Hi Ady,

I'm not sure it could be possible they got it wrong. I was emailed the photo by a relative, they said it was George. I hadn't found out that Henry Tuttle Green was in the army. Does it say much on Henry's record if you can access it please?

There's only 6 pages its more medical.Seems he enlisted in June 1915 and was examined in Hull where he joined Royal Engineers. He suffered Malaria and dysentery so mustve been sent to sunny climates discharged 1919....no further family stuff but is from Cottingham.
