You should be able to get another card .. put a SMALL amount of money on it and pay using that card. Any theft would be limited to the cards amount... Here you can get cards from the post office, travelers cards from various banks ...

Hi Bob
I am not sure what paid subscription sites (Irish) you are hoping to sign up with the only
one I know that has facility for paypal is Ancestry.com, any of the other sites you will have
to contact them or check their terms and conditions. As for applying for certs in the GRO
Roscommon Ireland you can get a copy cert for research purposes. As far as I know they do
not have paypal facility. You either give your card details or post your application with the money i.e. research copy cert is €4.00 euros once you have all the details as in this post

Hi Bob

Have a look at this thread from start to end Ordering Certs from GRO Roscommon
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=599538.0

I have ordered certs from GRO Roscommon by post and have found them extremely efficient, I normally order research certs (photocopy) and each cert costs €4.00.  I have a standard letter/template where I state looking research cert (photocopy) of the original register for genealogy purposes

Name of person
Type of cert i.e. birth death or marriage
Registration District
Year Quarter
Volume No.
Page No.

Am  I right in saying that Thomas Murphy b approx. 1888-1890 married a Mary Ann Duffy if so I have found a match for a marriage of
Thomas Murphy and Mary Duffy
Year 1921
Jan to Mar 1921
Dublin South

Hi Bob

Like you family research takes time and patience,  it means trawling through loads of records and sometimes you find what you need .

Have a look at the following thread on rootschat
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?board=385.0

I recommend the following free sites

https://familysearch.org/  this site will give the references for ordering certs in the GRO Roscommon
http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/    church records etc

http://www.from-ireland.net/

http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/#gsc.tab=0

Regards and best of luck with your research

The 1901 & 1911 Irish censuses are online at
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

You should be able to find Thomas Murphy & Mary Ann Duffy with their parents in 1901 at least.
-- found Thomas Murphy Born 1890, in the 1901 Census of Dublin Ireland

Glasnevin Cemetry Dublin found another son John Murphy born 1876 -Van Driver.Died 2nd of April 1901 .His Mother Anne Murphy informed them of his Death. He lived at 29 Leeson Park Avenue .Rathmines and Rathgar .East Dublin. Now this is his Postal Address, how do i find his 1901 Census

Suggest that you actually read the details that have been posted for you- I posted information 3 1/2 hours BEFORE you've asked AGAIN and you replied on the topic-

You have already have at least 2 topics looking for the Murphy family on the Dublin board-
www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=657872.msg5036917#msg5036917
and the longer thread-
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=657339.msg5032158#msg5032158

Again, here's the link to the 1901 census- they are living in the houshold of Maria Gregg but 172 is the number in the census not a street number for that address:
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Rathmines___Rathgar_East/Leeson_Park_Avenue/1292434

This is likely John Murphy in the 1901 census- note especially his occupation which is motorman-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
