Need help with part of 1921 Cdn census

Can anyone read what it says between the words "England" and "Canada" please. It is the year of arrival into Canada. It's for my gr gr grandmother who was born c1827 and was in Canada by 1860.

It doesn't look like figures to me.
I can see Maj/g...mn or wn
Would it be her surname? Or town she was from?

Here is a bit more of it, so you can see that the enumerator was capable of writing clear numbers.

I'm not sure, her last name is Bowman (Sophia Bowman). She changes her mind all through the census years as to where she is born, sometimes Canada, sometimes England.

It could mean she went from England, arrived in NY then went on to Canada. Not sure what the faint print after NY says. You can try and look up passenger lists to NY in 1861, maybe?
