If you locate the large railway junction/sidings at the bottom centre of the photo, move slightly Northwards to the large area of derelict land that shows as a light coloured patch. English Street is to the left of this area.
For detailed ground level photographs, the archives of the local papers or the Daily Record may have prints or digitised records.
