I'm not sure the second letter is a there seems to be a letter between G and A - what census is this form it might help to look at the original.

Hallo
Thanks for having a look.
I think the second letter is an 'l' but it and the 'a' were overwritten so the word starts 'Go..'. I'm not sure if it's one or two words.
My friend's sent me the full census page but there's no RG reference, nor place. The date is 5 April 1891 which is the date of the English/Welsh census. I'm not sure when other censuses were taken that year. The places of birth are: England, Ireland, Bengal and Malta. Where an occupation is given it's a military one with one exception - a monthly nurse. The page is for an institutuion so I'm thinking a barracks or similar. I'm still trying to get more information from my friend as to where exactly the family were because I can't find them on either FindMyPast or Ancestry.
The surnames on the page are DOWNER, HOARE, HYDE, OSBORNE, WALL, OWENS, JERRAN, EVELEIGH, CROOK, CURLEY and ARNOLD.
As soon as I can find out any more, I'll post it up.
