Missing Fisher Children
« on: Sunday 04 August 13 12:26 BST (UK) »
I am wondering if anyone can help me find any details of children born to the Fisher family in Tottenham.
Samuel Crick & Rosa Elliot Ellen Fisher were married June 1885 in Haringey. On the 1891 they are living at 2 Adolphus Terrace, St Anns, Tottenham, with 2 children - Beatrice, and (Samuel) Bertie, born in 1886 & 1887.
The 1901 census shows the family at 160 Poak(?) Road, Hornsey.
The 1911 census shows them at 33 Culross Road, West Green. But what it also shows is that the couple had 8 children born, but 5 who have died. I do know that Rosa had a child before marrying Samuel, and I have her details already, but the mystery is who where the other 5 that must have been born between 1885 & 1911?
I can't seem to track down who they were specifically.
Can anyone help?  ???
Many thanks!

The question that was asked on the 1911 census was how many live births there had been to that current marriage. Lots of people put down still births or miscarriages, which of course were not recorded anywhere. The only thing you can do is try the local baptism/burial records and see if any fit.

The child that Rosa had before she was married should not have been included in that number.

Free BMD throws up hundreds in the time period, even if you narrow if down to just Edmonton which covered Tottenham.

Hi

The marriage was . . . . .
Samuel Crick Fisher and Rosa Elliott Ellen Reynolds m June 1885 Edmonton 3a 385?

Saves everyone querying/lookingup/wondering the same details re Samuel Crick / Rosa Fisher.

So we can also eliminate the pre-marriage daughter, would you cofirm her details?
