1841 Census Occupation

WOW Gadget!!. This Shoemak side has been really testing. Mary is in the Stoke St Gregory registers online as Mary Shoamrt(Shoemak) having three illegtimate children baptised, one of whom is Ann. No mention of a James Shoemak. This is very interesting. I have had contact with the other person...cas...we are related through this line and the Squire family.

I'm tempted by this baptism but it's Martock not Taunton/area:
29 March 1786 (b. 26 Feb) Mary d/o Henry and Maria Shoomake

However, there is a James:
Martock 15 April 1789 James Shomake s/o Henry (note says aged 7! )

Also to same parents - Charles (18 Jan 1788)

There seems to be a Henry, John and George having children around the same time.

(sorry can't do any more at the moment - connection is very slow  and I have to move some rocks  )
