Research help needed

Hi all,

I recently found out that my gt grandparents, apart from having quite a few children, had a set of twins......Edward and Ernest Paxton born 1908.

The help I require is this ..... Can anyone find out ANY information about the twins....did they die, get married......go overseas??

I can't find anything apart from their birth on the NZ BDM site.

Parents were John and Diana Paxton sometimes Burrell Paxton.

Hi there,

You could start by looking for records of what happened to John and Diana (e.g. death notices, wills) that might mention children.

http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz if you search for Diana Paxton, in 1917 says that she applied for separation from husband, John Beresford Burrell Paxton.  The guardianship of two children was awarded to her (this is likely to indicate the number of minor children, not total number of children in the family).

I see that on bmd some of the kids are under the surname Burrell-Paxton.

Perhaps if things were tight financially the twins were adopted out?  Was there family (other Paxtons or anyone on Diana's side) about?  Or perhaps they did pass away and the spelling on the bmd index is at fault.

The twin born Edward PAXTON, appears to have had the birthdate of 21 January 1908.
