Help needed please as I am confused..
« on: Sunday 28 July 13 18:20 BST (UK) »
I have been looking for Owen Rowland Parry. The details I have is that he was born April 19th 1914 and baptized 6th August 1914 more than likely at Llanfaethlu Church.I was told he married an English girl and died young from an illness.I thought I had found his marriage and rang Llangefni to ask for a certificate but I was told that they did not have an Owen Rowland Parry who married in Holyhead in 1932 but they had an Owen Richard Parry who married around that time. But Owen Richard died aged 23 months and was buried on the 27th May 1913..again probably at Llanfaethlu. When I told the lady that she said I must have been given the wrong info and asked where I got it from..I told her Llangefni Archives  :o

The marriage I found is..

PARRY Owen R
Holyhead
Anglesey
1932
Jul-Aug-Sept
Williams
11b
904

Not sure where to go from here and any help in finding which one was which appreciated    :).

Are you sure he married in Wales - particularly if he married an English girl.  There is a 1940 marriage in Stafford for an Owen R Parry

The only birth matching his full christian names was 1892 in Anglesey

An Owen R Parry was b 1914 Anglesey - mothers maiden name Owen

If you know who Owen's children were - you could look up their births to get the mothers maiden name which will help find the right marriage

You say he married an English girl - there is a 1940 marriage in Stafford for an Owen R Parry

Thank you so much Carol  :)
I never knew anything about him until my Uncle told me and to be honest he gets very confused bless him.I know nothing about any children or anything  :(

That would be his birth as the date fits and his Mother was an Owen.

In 1932 - he would only have been 18

www.staffordshirebmd.org.uk only show him as Owen R so no clues as to his middle name there ???

The marriage was at St Philip & St James - Milton so can be looked up in parish records

You could try ringing Staffs Registrars office and quoting the reference number Stoke-On-Trent : 22/04/056 and ask if the middle name was Rowland

There are no Owen R Parry deaths with a birthyear between 1912-1916 (to allow for any error)

There is an Owen Parry death in 1947 in Bangor Anglesey and he was 32 which fits with dying young
