I have already looked through the Herald on Google and google shipyard accidents with no luck.

This was my grandfather! Wow, can't believe I stumbled across this. I was on a Glasgow site searching Barnes Road as I've just found a postcard to my mum addressed to 63 barnes Road and I had no idea she lived there. Then I came across this article. I never met my Grandfather as I wasn't born when he died but my mum said he was a lovely man. I didn't know the date of his death or anything so this has been so enlightening.

The Glasgow Herald might not be the best for this. The Evening Times or Citizen or the Daily Record might be a better bet if they're archived online.

Do you have any other info on the Caldwell family, pics etc by any chance James is my wifes grandfather as well.

You could always post an extract here and let us see if we can decipher it.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hi there taggg

I have photos of the family including my gran and my mums brothers and sisters so your wifes mum/dad will be on them. Who is it? She must be the daughter of Bill, Betty or Jim and hence we are cousins. I'm not sure about James on the photos because I don't know what he looks like but if I check out the photo's before my mum was 13 then he will possibly be on them.
