Looking for records of David H Prosser post 1881 census

An ancestor David H Prosser born 1864 Londont then resident in Newport Monmouthshire  cannot (well at least I cant find him) be found in a census return after 1881  .... neither can I see a marriage or death record...?is there anyone who can find him????

Would this be David Henry Prosser, born 14th September 1864, Employed by the Great Western Railway? ;D

1st August 1880, Superintendents Office, Newport
November 1884, D.G.M.O. Cardiff
Resigned 7th September 1889

Could he have moved back to London?  1891 census

Passenger lists only started in 1890; possibly he "escaped" before the lists?! ;D
