Tom Frederick Wild - Which Cemetery?
« on: Saturday 27 July 13 19:34 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm trying to locate the burial place of Tom Frederick Wild d. 1953 and his wife Elsie Birkinshaw Wild d. 1955 in Rotherham.
I have looked for their death notice in newspapers in the hope that the cemetery would be mentioned but so far I am unable to find anything.

Any help would be great

Eileen

Hi

Exactly whereabouts in Rotherham did they live as the Rotherham RD covered a large area

Hi,
Their address at time of death was,   1 Danum Drive, Rotherham.  Probate Record was 'Wakefield'.  Denomination: Church of England.

Thanks so much for your help as I am not familiar with the Registration Districts of England.

Eileen

Hi Eileen,

I'm afraid my reply isn't a great deal of help, but I wonder if anything on this link might help :

http://www.rotherham.gov.uk/info/335/funeral-records/920/grave_searches

There's a telephone number to the left of the page - if all else fails I think I'd be tempted to phone them to ask their advice.

Kind regards,

Pels.

Hi Pels,
Brilliant, thanks for the link, I will phone them tomorrow. I have searched British Newspapers online, with no result.  I am unsure if Tom Frederick was known as Tom or Frederick.  He also ran/owned the Rising Sun Inn, Abbey Lane in Rotherham for many years.  I have searched for that address too but again nothing shows up.
Thanks for your help
Eileen

You could try also 'Dignity' as they look after the admin of Cemeteries for Rotherham-address and phone number in link also use left and top menu's in the link for individual cemeteries.

...

This website holds a lot of info of where to look, history and odds & sods of Rotherham FH

.....

MI's

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth
