Looking for anyone with connections to JOHNSTON family, or farm they worked, AIRDSGREEN, Muirkirk.

Believe father William Johnston b abt 1776 was collier at Old Cumnock. Son Alexander b1812, Old Cumnock, d1891 Airdsgreen. Know the farm stayed in family for several generations, now part of Open Cast mining.

Hi Grant

we spoke some time ago about another connection.

My interest is in William Johnston b1840, who went to Canada with half-brother Robert Porter. He became local politician and author of several books.
