Drumhul Lodge, Cavan.

 According to the Northern Constitution, my grandfather John Alexander Millan, youngest son of Thomas Millan, Loughan, Coleraine  married  Annie 2nd daughter of Thomas Heaslip, Drumhul Lodge, Cavan on 4th August 1896 at Kildollagh Parish Church.
  I have checked both the 1901 census and the 1911 census and there is a Thomas Heaslip living in the townland of Drumheel, Killykeen, Cavan. Is this possibly Annie's father and there is an error in the transcription and that Drumhul Lodge should be Drumheel Lodge?

Seems quite possible but the marriage certificate itself should list the occupation of Annie's father which might prove or disprove it.

 Thomas Heaslip from Drumhul's  occupation is given as a coachman on the marriage certificate whereas  in the 1901 census and the 1911 census the Thomas Heaslip from Drumheel is a caretaker in both cases.
  Perhaps someone ferom Cavan could enlighten me regarding the location.

Drumheel is easily found- just use Google Maps (search for 'drumheel cavan') to see where the townland is located (just outside Ballyjamesduff on the road to Cavan town).

 I have followed this route (pardon the pun) but I have been unable to locate Drumhul. Either the Northern Constitution have made an error in transcription of my ancestors copy or they have been given the wrong address, anyway I hope someone with local knowledge can come up with an answer.
