Saffron Walden newspapers circa 1960's

Could anyone tell me how to access reports from  the Saffron Walden newspapers of the 1960's?
I am trying to find any reports of a court case ( held in Saffron Walden ) regarding an assault on a teenage girl in 1954/55.
I tried e-mailing the head office for the Saffron Walden Reporter, but didn't get any reply.

If someone could point me in the right direction, thank you.

The Essex Record Office have loads of local newspapers on microfilm.

No idea if they have the one you want or not, but would be worth contacting them, or looking at the SEAX site where you can see what they hold

I cant get the newspapers to come up when I try the search facility on SEAX - but I KNOW they have them, as I have spent many a happy hour (or 100) going through them on the microfilm machine.
But I dont know what papers or what years they hold.

I couldn't find anything on SEAX, but then I'm not very competent with these on-line sites-must be my age!
However, I've just e-mailed Essex records office, so see how I get on there.
