LONGMATE
« on: Monday 13 June 05 02:38 BST (UK) »
My LONGMATE family originated in AUBOURN just south of
LINCOLN, as far back as I can ascertain.  DAVID LONGMATE was born there in 1831 later marrying ELIZA COTTON.

They had the following children:

HARRIETT LONGMATE born 1854 in Dunholme
LOUISA LONGMATE born 1856
WILLIAM LONGMATE born 1861
RICHARD LONGMATE born 1867
CLARA LONGMATE born 1870

If anyone out there is researching this family I would love to hear from them.  Diana

Louisa LONGMATE was my great grandmother and I have just started researching that tree.  Her father was John and her mother was Eliza Woodhead.

I believe that the details of 'my' Louisa Longmate are correct (parents etc.) as per my original posting, but from memory there were two Louisa Longmates born in Aubourn.  It is many years since I did any research on this branch of family, so cannot remember the details of the 2nd one.

Sorry, that should be Eliza WALLHEAD b1852, not Woodhead.

Greetings again!

Again not 'quite' a match!  I have a Joseph Proctor 1848 - 1914 and, much closer to my line
Joseph Henry Morley Proctor 1879 -1943, the latter being my husband's grandfather, married to Sarah Ann Eliza Parke in Lincoln.
Cheers, Diana
