That's quite effective, well done. I crochet baby blankets for people at work and they think they are hard to do, well I can do em while watching tv and checking I've put enough stitches or not too many as I go along. Perhaps they are too lazy to learn! I use half treble and gets done quick. The kids love them. I'm stopping doing them before long as I buy the wool as well!

Well done Casaiguidi, looks lovely.
Yes Weste, I don't think people realise just how much wool it takes to do baby blankets - can be expensive!

Casalguidi that's brilliant! I've done a few flowers before just to practise but your pattern looks very straightforward.

I love crochet as it grows so fast - and as there's only one stitch at a time, if I drop it or make a mistake it's easy to sort out (unlike knitting where I always end up with a different number of stitches on the needle  :() After seeing the baby blanket I made for granddaughter, my daughter asked for a large bed throw - boy did I get hot with that across my knees as it grew!

Off to get red wool at the weekend...

I did a rummage through my button store after having little play this week :D I went with the flow, not by any pattern and did 3 while following something on TV. Did the bigger one first, type of yarn hides the stitches and 4 individual petals sewn together, yarn not easy to thread and sew with! Did another one in same style with DK acryllic I found in my supplies. The one by thumb is a one piece, much quicker and simpler, just done in doubles, trebles and chain ...

They look lovely, well done.  It looks like you have done some in black wool by the buttons, was this done in crochet, or did you stitch it on after?  Really effective however if you did it.
