MARTIN - cotton weavers in Cambuslang or Glasgow

Looking for further info on this family. My ancestor is Jane MARTIN who was married in Lanarkshire in 1852 and emigrated to NZ in 1863.

I would like information about her Scottish family / ancestors. On the Scotland's People 1861 census there is a possible family. Her birthdate doesn't match the 'Jane' listed there but she could be the 'Janet'

Did Jane marry James Pettigrew ?
Does her death certificate(1922 age 90 ?) name her parents ?

Where in Lanarkshire did she marry? There are four Lanarkshire marriages for Janet, Jean or Jane Martin in 1852. If we knew which one it was that would help a lot! Also, have you any idea how old she would have been when she married?

With the surname Martin, there's a good chance she or her parents were originally from Ireland.
AYRSHIRE - Strachan, McCrae, Haddow, Haggerty, Neilson, Alexander
ABERDEENSHIRE (Cruden and Longside) - Fraser, Hay, Logan, Hutcheon or Hutchison, Sangster
YORKSHIRE (Worsbrough) - Green, Oxley, Firth, Cox, Rock
YORKSHIRE (Royston and Carlton) - Senior, Simpson, Roydhouse, Hattersley

She was married in December 1852, Airdrie or New Monkland. Interesting about the possible Irish connection.

Yes EV, she did marry James Pettigrew but, as I am not in NZ, it looks like I will need to order her death printout as well.
